1. About This Platform

VICTORIA INSTITUTIONS ("VI", "we", "our") operates an online digital book publishing and sales platform at victoriainstitutions.com. By accessing or using this platform — as a buyer, author, or visitor — you agree to these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not agree, please do not use this platform.

2. For Buyers

Books on this platform are sold as digital online editions, readable on any device through your personal library. A purchase gives you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and read the book for personal use only.

• Books are not downloadable, printable, or shareable.
• Each book must be purchased individually — there are no subscription plans.
• All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes.
• Purchases are final. Please refer to our Refund and Cancellation Policy for details.
• You must register and verify your email address to access purchased books.

3. Buyer Account

To purchase books, you must create an account with a valid email address and a password of your choosing. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

• You must provide accurate and complete information at registration.
• You must verify your email address before you can log in and access purchased books.
• You may not share your account with another person or allow others to access your library.
• If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, please contact us immediately.

4. Payments

All payments on this platform are processed securely by our third-party payment gateway, Cashfree Payments. Victoria Institutions does not store your card or bank account details.

• Prices are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise stated, and are inclusive of applicable GST.
• Payment must be completed in full before access to a purchased book is granted.
• In the event of a payment failure, no amount will be debited from your account. If an amount is debited but access is not granted, please contact us within 7 days at admn@victoriainstitutions.com.

5. For Authors

Authors who register on this platform agree to the following:

• You affirm that you are the sole author or authorised rights-holder of any manuscript you submit.
• You affirm that your manuscript does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
• A non-refundable screening fee is payable upon submission. This fee covers the cost of reviewing your manuscript and does not guarantee acceptance.
• If accepted, a formatting fee is payable before formatting work begins. This fee is non-refundable once formatting has commenced.
• Upon acceptance and publication, you grant Victoria Institutions a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and sell your book on this platform.
• Authors retain all copyright in their own work.
• Victoria Institutions retains 20% of each sale as a platform fee. The remaining 80% is paid to the author monthly by UPI or bank transfer.
• Victoria Institutions reserves the right to remove a book from sale if it is found to infringe third-party rights or violate these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this platform — including the website design, layout, code, and Victoria Institutions' own publications — is the property of Victoria Institutions and is protected by applicable copyright law. You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, or use any part of this platform without our written permission.

Authors retain all copyright in their own works published on this platform. Buyers acquire only a personal, non-transferable right to read purchased books on this platform.

7. Prohibited Use

You may not use this platform to:

• Copy, reproduce, screen-record, or redistribute any book content.
• Attempt to circumvent any access restriction or digital protection measure.
• Submit manuscripts that are plagiarised, defamatory, obscene, or in violation of any law.
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent any restriction or policy.
• Use automated tools to access, scrape, or download content from this platform.

8. Refunds and Cancellations

All purchases of digital books are final and non-refundable, as access is granted immediately upon confirmed payment. Please read the book description carefully before purchasing.

9. Limitation of Liability

Victoria Institutions provides this platform on an "as is" basis. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. Our liability in connection with any service or purchase is limited to the amount paid for that service or book. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.

10. Privacy

Your use of this platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using this platform, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in that policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms or your use of this platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kozhikode, Kerala, India.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of this platform after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
